Have you ever walked into a home and had your jaw drop over its incredible aesthetic? Well get ready because this recent reno by Geremia Design is one you're going to fawn over.

Bay Area-based Lauren Geremia is known for creating some of the coolest spots in town, so it makes sense why the tech crowd would flock to her to style their spaces as well. When one founder needed to update his new home, he called on the designer to lend the space her signature modern touch.

"Our common goals were to make the space livable by purchasing art, furniture, and accessories," explains Geremia. "I feel like it highlights quality, promotes social activities, and has a fresh take on materials and contemporary craft small-batch furniture."

After giving us a sneak peek into the space, we had to ask Geremia to share how she crafted this incredible home. Read ahead to learn about the inspiration and design process behind the elevated, yet eclectic retreat.

"The neighbor had built the house and designed it with a specific perspective — lots of wood, lots of tiled surfaces, and lots of recessed light fixtures," shares Geremia. "Some of it worked with the clients taste, some did not."

"There were lots of screens that dropped the ceiling lower and others lining the walls in a decorative fashion. We removed most of these to make the space feel more open and bright."
