1. Seasons Lounge Burger Bust: In another sign that the recession knows no bounds, the Four Seasons is hoping that the next time you think "burger," you'll think "upscale hotel chain." The Seasons Lounge at the San Francisco outpost is now offering $20 burgers two days a week, which include your choice of a beer, glass of wine, or cocktail. They've got pairings in all three categories to match each of their seven burgers, which include duck-fat, pork-belly-topped, and ahi-tuna patties. You may not be able to afford a room, but at least you can afford a burger, right? (Sundays and Mondays, 2:30 pm-12 am, at Seasons Bar & Lounge, Four Seasons Hotel, 757 Market St., Financial District.)

2. Burger Bar Happy Hour: In further burgers-n'-booze news, Hubert Keller's newest enterprise has introduced a happy hour with half-off beers (at 24 drafts, their selection is not piddling), $4 well drinks, and $6 appetizers (no word on whether the titular dish is involved). Fair warning: tourists, logo thongs, and eating in a Macy's are part of the deal. (Monday-Friday, 3-6 pm, at Burger Bar, 251 Geary St., 6th floor, Union Square.)

3. Spencer and Daniel's Wine Tasting: Selling bargain-priced wine is a dicey proposition if no one can taste it, which is why Spencer and Daniel's, Polk Gulch's one-stop shop for budget vino, holds tastings every few months. A $10 entry fee will allow you to sample 12 vintages, most of which are sold by the bottle at reasonable prices. Be sure to grab a ticket now, though: the door price doubles to $20. 4. Cinco de Mayo at Cantina: When your bar's got a Spanish name, Cinco de Mayo is your wheelhouse, and Cantina has stepped up to the challenge with a Cinco de Mayo offering of $2 beers and $5 tequila shots. You may have to cut out of work early, but such is the price of participating in one of the fine multicultural drinking holidays that make this country great. 5. Free Cinco de Mayo Cab Rides: Many people mistakenly believe that Cinco de Mayo is Mexican Independence Day (it actually commemorates the Battle of Puebla). But that doesn't mean you can't declare your independence from drinking and driving. This Cinco de Mayo, simply call Luxor Cab to take you home from a bar or restaurant for free (no picking you up from a house party or dropping you anywhere but a residence, though).
