Speaking as someone who gets anxious at the prospect of listing her top three Italian restaurants in a given neighborhood, the task of naming my top twenty songs of the year is a fairly daunting one. But having avoided it up until now in the same manner I avoided calculus in high school (great! statistics AP has totally come in handy!), this year I found it was time to buckle down and take stock. At the prompting of my dear friend Peter, who sent me a list unsolicited and demanded to see mine in return, I've compiled a list of the 20 songs that managed to get the most airplay on my iPod, and have also managed to stay in my good graces. For the most part, this list is not in any particular order, but for your listening pleasure, I awarded a top seven spots for my last playlist of the year. Happy holidays!
