Remember Batkid, the 5-year-old leukemia survivor who saved San Francisco back in 2013? Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area made that happen. And they need your help again. This time, though, it involves eating and drinking.
For the past 16 years, Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area has hosted Wine & Wishes, a fundraising event that gathers more than 50 local restaurants, wineries, brewers, and mixologists under one roof to celebrate the life-changing wishes that inspire hope, strength, and joy in children battling serious illnesses.
Wine and Wishes highlights the brightest stars in the Bay Area's restaurant and winery universe. Sample from 18 wineries and 25 of the most celebrated restaurants and breweries at the Gourmet Food & Wine Tasting. Then, stay for the Winemaker Dinner, where you'll enjoy a four course farm-to-table feast designed and prepared by 14 acclaimed executive chefs, including Raj Dixit of Michael Mina Restaurant, Rogelio Garcia of The Commissary, and Roland Passot of La Folie. This year's theme, The Farmer and The Chef, promises seasonal dishes, exquisitely prepared, with a focus on the highest quality ingredients sourced from local producers.
Held at the chic San Francisco Design Center Galleria, the event will have a silent and live auction. Dying to sit courtside for a Warriors game? We'll be auctioning off some tickets.
