For all of you who missed Mission Street Food, the short lived “hipster” taco truck that appeared for a few Thursday nights this fall, now is your chance to sample the goods. The operation has moved indoors.
On Thursday nights, from 6 until midnight, Anthony Myint (Bar Tartine sous chef) and a guest chef are cooking up cheap, unusual feasts at Lung Shan (2234 Mission St. between 18th and 19th), whose owners have lent their kitchen for this once-weekly experiment.
This week, Myint’s pairing up with “turducken king” (and ex-Orson chef) Ryan Farr. The menu will include a corned beef tongue sandwich, pork and kumquat sausage with curried Brussels sprouts and—for dessert—a “reconstructed” pecan pie with bourbon cream and lines of bacon “snow.” Oh, hey, did we mention Farr used to work at Orson?
