With the golden Gate looming in the fog in the background a man throws his crab pot off the pier near Fort Point.

For this week's Scenes of the City we hung around the SF coastline visiting different docks, beaches and piers capturing the license free day of fishing.

The sun came out for a little bit in the shadow of the Bay Bridge at the parking lot/ pier at Java House on the Embarcadero.

Saturday was one of the two days every year that no rules or regulations apply, except for a few locations and species. For more info check out this link.

We didn't see a whole lot of caught fish, mostly crab, but everyone was out having a good time.
