People from all over the world came together at the Cal Academy of Science at the eclipse viewing party
If you had any energy left after Bay to Breakers madness, then a bit after five o'clock yesterday you were treated to a rare annular solar eclipse with about 84% of the sun covered by the moon. If you were watching from anywhere in the city, you saw the crescent-shaped shadows, a sharp crescent shaped sun and the strange feeling that the sun was being stolen from us. We camped out at Cal Academy of Sciences at the eclipse viewing party. Enjoy the slideshow.
