Noelle Bonner takes her resale marketplace to a real-life storefront in Presidio Heights.
Plus, McMullen’s boutique is flush with exclusive designers and Liis Fragrance gets into the body care game.

It’s undeniable: circular fashion, vintage shopping, and designer consigning are having a moment. And while we’d never discount the thrill of the digital hunt—scouring the interwebs for a sought-after Dries Van Noten knit or original Gucci Jackie 1961 bag—sometimes you just want to stumble upon (and see, touch, and try on) a treasure in real life.
SF fashion goddess Noelle Bonner, owner of the five-year old luxury resale marketplace The Nobo, gets it, which is exactly why she decided to give her online platform the brick-and-mortar treatment in a jewel-sized shop on Presidio Heights’ Sacramento Street.
First things first: The Nobo is no ordinary consigner. Sure, you can sell and shop as usual, but the delicious twist is the barter option, as Bonner explains: “The swap feature allows customers to trade in items for Nobo Cash, giving them immediate purchasing power without waiting for a sale—and keeping fashion in circulation longer.”
The store itself is small but mighty and easy to shop, thanks to a tightly curated and ever-changing selection of stellar women’s and men’s pieces from the likes of Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Maison Margiela, Prada, Dior, and Burberry. (Read: no schlock allowed.)
Yes, the colorful clothes and accessories are the main draw, but the modern interior elevates the entire shopping (and consigning) experience. That’s by design: Hannah Warden and her SF team at Cult Revival transformed the chic space to showcase the covetable pre-owned goods.
The Nobo is committed to the space through mid-summer, but there’s a good chance it will extend its lease, says Bonner. (Fingers crossed.)

McMullen is a rare Bay Area store for finding exclusive brands.

Sherri McMullen and her namesake boutique have long been a force for good fashion in the Bay Area and beyond. The CEO and trailblazer is celebrated for her keen stylist’s eye, along with a passion and talent for spotlighting emerging and BIPOC designers from around the globe. No wonder McMullen is one of the most respected indie retailers anywhere (just ask Vogue or WWD).
All this is very good news for San Francisco shoppers. (In case you missed it, the original Oakland storefront closed last year.) The Presidio Heights store is currently flush with fresh spring arrivals from Dries Van Noten, Gabriela Hearst, Khaite, Proenza Schouler, Diotima, Tibi, and more.
Style-philes—especially those who detest twinning with strangers in identical shoes, baubles or frocks— should make a beeline for the new crop of handcrafted beaded bracelets, necklaces, and totems from Ashley Moubayed’s Don’t Let Disco, along with head-turning dresses, trenches, tops, and skirts by fashion darling Christopher John Rogers (CJR).
Porquoi?
Because McMullen is the only Bay Area brick-and-mortar stocking pieces from these talents, both of whom are CFDA Vogue/Fashion Fund finalists: Moubayed was part of the 2025 class, and CJR won the top prize in 2019. (McMullen has been a champion of the Baton Rouge native from day one, and the dynamic duo were even featured in the de Young’s Fashioning San Francisco: A Century of Style exhibition in 2024.)
The two Brooklyn-based designers recently appeared at a series of separate special events at McMullen. Moubayed hosted a trunk show and a Don’t Let Disco Beading Bar event, where customers created one-of-a-kind pieces. CJR—beloved for his high-octane color and exaggerated, glam silhouettes—was feted alongside cofounder Christina Chanel at a cocktail party at Starlite, followed by a weekend full of private styling sessions and mingling with the McMullen community.

Liis Fragrance drops its first body products.

Since first hitting the scene in 2020, Liis has earned a devoted following of cool girls and guys hooked on its clean, cruelty-free, vegan scents—not to mention the sleek, minimalist bottles. The genderless collection has grown from a signature trio (Bo, Studied, and Rose Struck) to a formidable gang of 10.
Made in California, the scents are inspired by personal moments and experiences close to the hearts of founders (and friends) Angeleno Alissa Sullivan and San Franciscan Leslie Hendin. (Gotta love a NorCal-SoCal collab.)
Now, the duo and their fans are celebrating Liis’ first foray into body care: a luxurious Hydrating Lotion ($65) and Liquid Soap ($55) for body and hands. Designed to support radiant, healthy-looking skin, the products deliver what the brand calls an “immersive, lasting, perfumed regimen.” They’re available in two fan-favorite scents: Bo (white cedar, incense, and vanilla bean) and In This World (blood orange, fig, and lavender).
Full disclosure: This writer’s hoping her fave Choux Choux is next in line for a skincare glow-up.
