Fillmore Street is getting another high-end jewel in its crown in the form of uber-popular NYC-based brand Rag & Bone, which is opening a shop on the corner of Fillmore and California Streets. The new store is taking over two lots—the former Royal Ground Coffee and a laundromat—to create one huge men's and women's boutique.
Meanwhile, if you want to score Rag & Bone and a host of other labels on the cheap, look no further than designer discount emporium Nordstrom Rack, which opened on Market and Fifth in the former Marshall's space. Right next door at Westfield Shopping Centre, be on the lookout for yogi favorite Lululemon in its third S.F. location.
Another brand opening shop numero tres is Marine Layer. This Friday, the local label known for its supremely cozy tees will debut The ML Workshop, in essence a boutique within the brand's Nob Hill HQ (at 1572 California Street) that will sell everything from brand-new wares to past-season samples.
On the more artsy front, much-beloved Inner Richmond gallery and shop, Park Life, has opened a second outpost at 3049 22nd Street (at Shotwell). And, in less cheerful closings news, Pipers Shoe Parlor in the Haight is shutting its doors after over two years in business.
