With the holiday season approaching faster than we'd like to admit, once empty storefronts are quickly filling up, and might we say, looking better than ever. In fact, there's so much happening as of late that it's been hard (even for us!) to keep track, so we decided to do a quick recap of the new and notable shops about town:
John Fluevog, 253 Grant Ave.: Exactly 13 years after opening his Haight St. location, the John Fluevog moves into an amazing four-story space in Union Square, where the first floor will be dedicated to his signature quirky shoes and accessories and the top three floors used as a gallery space.
460 Gough, 460 Gough St.: This under-the-radar men's shop for upscale Americana stocks Levi's Vintage, Gant, Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair amongst taxidermy, a dart board and other rustic lodge essentials.
Brief Space, 101 4th St., 2nd Fl.: Stop by the 2nd floor of the Metreon Saturday for the grand opening of this temporary boutique/gallery/performance space. The shop is set to sell original clothing, shoes, mix CDs and more.
Joseph Cozza Salon, 77 Maiden Lane, 2nd Fl.: The Union Square salon's new second location goes beyond hair with a full-service skincare studio and wellness spa.
Heritage Row, 2176 Chestnut St.: Nestled in the heart of the Marina, the pint-sized boutique offers chic yet affordable wares from the likes of BB Dakota, Dolce Vita and Seychelles.
Chloe Rose, 1824 Union St.: While you're in the 'hood, walk up a few blocks to Union St., where you'll find expertly curated designer finds (Rebecca Minkoff, Plenty by Tracy Reese) from a FIDM grad.
