Nearly two thousand foodie fans flocked to 7x7’s The Big Eat Live! as AT&T Park transformed into an al fresco mecca of delectable dishes. The “most delicious day of summer” gave attendees the unprecedented opportunity to taste dishes that made it on 7x7’s annual list of 100 Things to Eat Before You Die, all sprawled around the baseball field.
Guests spread out picnic blankets and beach towels while they sampled bites from notable eateries such as The Cavalier, Coqueta, Merigan, Frances, and many more. Jazz Mafia strolled throughout the crowd before Tidelands took the stage and entertained the crowd. DJ Kingmost spun live from the Red Bull MXT truck, and several attendees started an impromptu dance party as the event drew to a close.
Stella Artois and Stella Cidre flowed freely throughout the event, with the Belgian lager and cider providing the perfect complement to the tasting experience. Bartenders concocted Beefeater London & Plymouth Gin signature drinks, including 7x7-themed refreshers such as “The Big Sweet,” featuring Beefeater Gin, honey syrup, and lemon. Guests also tickled their palates with wine tastings from eight of the Bay Area’s leading vineyards and wineries.
As a special treat for sports-loving guests, AT&T Park opened up the San Francisco Giants batting tunnels underground behind the team’s dugout. Expert and novice batters alike had the opportunity to take a swing in true Giants style. The de Young Museum provided a Creativity Zone for the event’s littlest attendees, complete with art projects and temporary tattoos. For those wanting a little extra VIP at the event, the BMW DriveNow experience was live outside the park showing guests how they can arrive at their next location in style, all through their mobile phone.
