What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than in the company of cheese and wine. On May 31 Bar Bambino owner and wine guy Christopher Losa and cheesemonger Colin Shaff will teach a two-hour class that explains how production affects the finished product, be it a well-aged pecorino or Barolo. The chickens of Soul Food Farm are on the verge of cult status, beloved by chefs and farmers market patrons alike. On May 31 Piccino opens its doors for a day-long rosé festival. From noon until 9 they’ll be pouring the best pink wines from Italy, France, Spain and California—trust us, it’s not your momma’s white zin. Pizzas and salads will round out the offerings.
