If your idea of maximum relaxation is escaping the San Francisco fog and lounging in the sun next to an idyllic pool, the Vinarosa Resort & Spa (formerly Vintners Resort) should be at the top of your list. Set amidst 92 acres of what feels like a luxurious Mediterranean winery, the large pool was just completely redone and now features reservable daybeds (from $201), cabanas for up to four (from $305), a full-service poolside bar, and fire pits—perfect for spending the day relaxing. (Bonus: reserving the daybeds and cabanas comes with a complimentary bottle of bubbly.) The new pool experience is open for resort guests as well as for day users.
You can still enjoy a seasonal spa treatments at the Spa at Vinarosa (formerly the Vi La Vita Spa) too, which also hosts events like yoga and sound healing in the vineyards. If you want to spend the night (and with luxury like this, you’ll want to), the resort has renovated the lobby and half of their guest rooms (set to be complete in July), and added new design touches to the other half.

Carneros Resort and Spa has a number of beehives on its 28-acre property that now provide wellness therapy along with pollinating flowers and making honey. The resort’s new Bee Mindful experience ($50) is held in the Bee Cottage, which has beehives tucked beneath a platform. All you have to do is lie on top of the hives and take in the therapeutic thrumming of the bees at work and the pleasant, sweet scent of the hive.
The resort also has an adults-only pool with reservable cabanas (from $300), and the spa recently debuted a fire-and-ice treatment where you move between the infrared sauna and their new cold plunge ($150).
