Off the Grid: Presidio Picnic & Food Truck Party Season Kick-Off

After closing for the winter, SF’s Off the Grid is back in full swing starting this Sunday. Head to the Main Post Lawn to taste from a bevy of food trucks; pair with mimosas and Bloody Mary drink kits. A live DJ, bocce ball, yoga classes, and game rentals make this a true Sunday Funday event. Sunday, March 1: 11am - 4pm. 103 Montgomery Street, Main Post, Presidio.

Free Neighborhood Admission at the California Academy of Sciences

Pro tip: California Academy of Sciences offers free admission for certain residents on select weekends. This weekend, SF denizens living in these neighborhoods get in for free: Bernal Heights, Castro, Cole Valley, Glen Park, Haight, Lake Merced, Mission, Noe Valley, and St. Francis Wood. Hillbilly Robot: Honky-Tonk Showdown and Americana Mayhem

Want to really mix up your weekend? The last weekend of Hillbilly Robot: An Urban Americana Music Event promises to end the month-long festival with a bang. Come to Thee Parkside on Friday for the “Honky-Tonk Showdown,” with The Blacklisted, The B-Stars, and The Branded Men; or bust out your trucker hat on Saturday night at Slim’s for “Americana Maynem,” with Blisses B, Rin Tin Tiger, Big Jugs, and Raven Marucs.
