Now that both our very own San Francisco Symphony and Janelle Monáe, have both snagged Grammys, the chance to see them live is more coveted than ever. And together? On May 16th, this fusion of great music takes place in a one-night only, genre-bending Spring Gala event, which begins with an sparkling black-tie reception in the grand lobbies of Davies Symphony Hall, followed by a concert that features Janelle Monáe and her style of elegant, creative, soulful R&B together with the San Francisco Symphony for the first time.

Both talented acts put their heads together for orchestral charts written especially for this occasion, so you can be sure this is a once-in-a-lifetime performance. After the show, celebrate in a glamorous and exciting after-party in City Hall, with live music, DJ’s, cocktails, and savory treats. It's a black tie affair, so come dressed to the nines.
