YMCA Luncheon Raises Big Money for SF Youth

No startup has more potential than Bay Area youth. Which is why on Friday, March 20, investors in San Francisco's adolescents came together for the 4th Annual YMCA of San Francisco Y For Youth Luncheon, a day of celebration and fundraising for signature youth programs that improve the opportunities for children within our local community.

The luncheon, set at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, successfully raised $610,000 to expand and enhance programming for more than 10,000 children and young adults who utilize the services at the YMCA of San Francisco. President and CEO of the YMCA San Francisco, Charles M. Collins, stressed the importance of the Y's "strong partnership between corporate America, civic leaders, government policymakers, in-school educators and the many organizations addressing children’s developmental needs outside of school hours."

All eyes are on the Bay Area when it comes to being a leader of constant innovation and endless successes. With this call to action in mind, the Y firmly believes in strengthening the foundations of community through development, healthy living, social responsibility, and ultimately, helping youth discover who they are and what they can achieve. After all, they are the future of our city. // To learn more about Y For Youth, visit ymcasf.org/yforyouth.
