Has the departure of Marlena's (RIP) left a drag-queen sized hole in your heart? Instead of feeling like Scrooge add some glitter to your yuletide cheer with these five fabulous holiday drag shows.

Drag Queens on Ice: An Eleganza Extravaganza

Nevermind that “eleganza” isn’t a word but should be, this show is arguably the best thing to happen to Union Square all year. Brave the tourists and head out to the ice rink to watch a few of the Bay's fiercest drag kings and queens battle it out, Dorothy Hamill style. The extravaganza starts at 8 p.m. this Thursday, December 12.

Happy Birthday Jesus: The Alaska Christmas Show

RuPaul's Drag Race finalist, Alaska, brings the debut of her first holiday show to San Francisco. She'll be performing twisted renditions of favorite Christmas songs in her signature "extra-terrestrial" style. Catch her at Rebel from Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 19 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.; and Friday, Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. & 10 p.m.

Jackie Beat: “O Holy Hell!”

Jackie Beat can expect a lump of coal under her tree this year - we can't imagine Santa will take kindly to her sick and twisted holiday song parodies! If sappy sentiment isn’t your thing, make this show your holiday tradition. Celebrate the season with Jackie at Rebel, December 22 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The Gold Rush Christmas

In an attempt to raise money for the production of a naughty adult puppet show, “Puppetsploitation,” some fine drag queens and kings are coming together for a knock out variety show perfect for any Christmas cowboy. Enjoy the eclectic event, where else? El Rio, Tues. December 17, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The Golden Girls: Christmas Episodes

Blanche, Rose, Sophia, and Dorothy; we thank you for being our friends and inspiring four of San Francisco’s drag queens to put on their best renditions of the '80s hit, The Golden Girls. Although they've performed for years throughout the city, this year you can find these ladies at The Victoria Theatre. Shows run from Thursday – Sunday of this weekend and next. We caught up with the stars, Cookie Dough (Sophia), Matthew Martin (Blanche), Pollo Del Mar (Rose), and Heklina (Dorothy), for a We Wanna Be Friends With Q&A!
