Orphaned Badger to be Released Into the Wilds of West Marin on Sunday

By

This one is a tear jerker. On June 6, a cute little American Badger was found near the body of her dead mother. She was semi-conscious and the prognosis was bleak.

WildCare Medical Staff in Marin went to great lengths to save the adorable little animal’s life, including giving her subcutaneous fluids, oxygen, and easily digestible food through a feeding tube.

Finally, after months of recovery, the healthy and feisty badger is ready to be released back into the wilds of West Marin.

She will be released at the 300-acre Erickson family ranch in the Tomales/Valley Ford area  on Sunday, Aug. 2 at 5pm.

Watch the little badger make her miraculous recovery in the videos below.
