City Bites at Macy's

Who are you calling honey, sweetheart? Scott, Mayclem and Werner together at Macy's
Join chef Ryan Scott (yes, that Ryan Scott, now installed as chef at Mission Beach Café) and William Werner (formerly the pastry chef at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay, he’s now owner and pastry chef of his own company, Polite Persuasion) for a night of sweet stuff—an appetizer, entrée, drink and dessert all made with honey. The demonstration will be moderated by Eye on the Bay’s Liam Mayclem, and promises to be a good time. Werner also promises me there will be a lot of (light-hearted) teasing of Scott. Who wants to miss that?
The event is $10 and begins at 6:30; proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels. The series continues throughout October, including a very special event on October 29 with 7x7’s very own Sara Deseran, together with Anjan Mitra, the charismatic owner of Dosa along with Todd Smith, the wine director for the soon-to-open Dosa on Fillmore. They'll be tackling the subject of how to pair wine with Indian food. For more information and to sign up, visit Macys.com/events
