Games Galore at SF Lawn Party

Lawn games and drinking go together like tequila and lime, which is why you'll find us on the Marina Green this Saturday, from noon to 5 pm, for the 3rd Annual San Francisco Lawn Party. Look for live music by The Cheeseballs, Pop Rocks, and DJ Ajax; a phalanx of food trucks; cold beer from Lagunitas; and a fun line-up of lawn games. Brush up on your beanbag tossing skills for the cornhole tournament, or just play for fun with friends. If cornhole's not your bag, join a bocce game, a croquet match, or a horseshoe toss. Or bring your own game, and invite others to play. Tickets are $40 each for general admission, and drink tickets are $6 each or 4 for $20. VIP tickets are $80 and include access to the VIP tent with luxury furniture, private restrooms, and a hosted bar serving free beer, wine, and Tommy's Margaritas. "Small Batch" Happy Hour at Kuleto's

If you haven't yet tried Kuleto's new "small batch" cocktail list, their daily happy hour is the perfect opportunity to imbibe. Seven days a week, from 3 to 6pm, the Union Square restaurant serves small batch specialty cocktails for just $7 alongside a menu of fresh ciabatta crostinis for just $4 each. Try the Italian Mistress (Bummer & Lazarus Gin, lemon juice, Luzarado Apricot, simple syrup, and tonic), the Dewey Primo (Traverse City Whiskey, Spirit Works Sloe Gin Cynar, Choco bitters, with a chocolate pepperoni garnish) or the Vida Vida (Suerte Tequila, lime, green Chartreuse, and Agave). Aperitivo Hour at Pesce

For those who think one happy hour a day is a good start, Pesce just doubled down with Aperitivo Hour, every day in the bar, from 5:30 to 7pm and again from 9 to 11pm. Enjoy bar manager Fatima's unique libations—including the Red Kite (James E. Pepper bourbon, Campari, Amaro, Ciociaro, cucumber) and the Novena (Spirit Works Vodka, pineapple, lemon, vanilla bean, ginger)—alongside free cichetti (snacks) from chef/owner Ruggero Gadaldi. Spanish Women of Wine Pairing Dinner at Canela

How many women does it take to make a four-course Spanish wine pairing dinner? At least four, and they have to be among Spain's top women winemakers. On Tuesday, September 9, Canela Bistro and Wine Bar highlights four Spanish Women of Wine for an exclusive, one-time only wine pairing dinner featuring four favorite wine varietals from across Spain and the women who make them. The menu includes Sinforiano 2009 Crianza from winemaker Ruth Sierra de la Gala paired with Lamb Sweetbreads and Organic Mushrooms; Volvoreta 2011 Tinto de Toro from winemaker Maria Alfonso paired with Grilled Tuna with Salsa Zarzamora Blackberry Sauce; Sinforiano Reserva 2008 Tempranillo from the Mucientes area of Cigales paired with Braised Oxtail Fried Potatoes; and to finish, a Bodegas Bentomiz 2007 Aryanas Dulce Moscatel de Alejandria from Malaga paired with Cabrales Blue Cheese and Pear Tart. Acquerello Turns 25, Hosts 25-Year-Old Vintage Wine Dinner

Most 25 year olds celebrate their birthday with cheap beer and vodka, but most 25 years-olds aren't a Michelin-starred, fine-dining Italian restaurant. On Wednesday, September 10, Acquerello is celebrating its 25th anniversary by hosting a 1989 commemorative prix-fixe wine dinner, featuring 25-year-old vintage wines carefully selected by wine director Gianpaolo Paterlini. The champagne reception begins at 6:30 pm in the Gold Room with passed hors d'oeuvres and Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé 'La Grande Dame' 1989, followed by a 5-course seated dinner paired with Nebbiolo-based wines, including Barbaresco and Barolo.
