On Sunday, April 18, head to Fort Mason for a day of tamales, tequila and live music. The fourth annual “A Taste of Tequila and Tamales By the Bay” kicks off at noon—sample your way through premium tequila, complemented by fresh tamales prepared by some of the area’s best producers. Festa Di Primavera at the Ferry Building

The allergies, the bouquets of lilacs, the first asparagus—it’s spring! Celebrate the season at the Festa Di Primavera at the Ferry Building on Sunday, April 18. Taste food from the Ferry Building vendors, enjoy Italian music and check out the act of some circus performers, all for a good cause (CUESA!). Soul Food Class at La Cocina

Learn your way around fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and more—Dionne Knox will be teaching a Soul Food class at La Cocina tonight, April 14th, from 6:30-9 p.m. You can snag last minute tickets here—it’s $65 for the class, plus dinner and drinks!

Food Bloggers Bakesale at Omnivore Books

On Saturday, April 17, local food bloggers will be contributing their baked goods to a big old-fashioned bake sale taking place outside Omnivore Books, with proceeds benefiting Share Our Strength. From 12-3 p.m., stop by for a sweet treat—if you come on the later side, stay for the book-signing with cake queen Rose Levy Beranbaum, which begins at 3 p.m.

Taste of the Nation
