Monday, January 14

It’s not too late to enjoy San Francisco’s prized critters from the deep. With crab season still rocking here in San Francisco, Chef Russ Moore will continue to incorporate local Dungeness crab into his Monday night prix fixe dinners at Camino. Tuesday, January 15

Two of San Francisco’s dearest traditions come together at the SOMArts Cultural Center for a gathering of local foodies and writers. Performer, writer, and playwright Thao K. Nyugen will be joined by culinary guest Celia Racicot for an evening inspired by this week’s theme, Beginnings. As always, guests can bring a dish, take part in a writing exercise and share their work for a chance to win literary and culinary prizes. Wednesday, January 16

Discover a new appreciation for Farmer’s Market produce by experiencing how some of the best local mixologists use them in their favorite beverages. CUESA and the Northern California Chapter of the US Bartenders Guild join forces to incorporate the best local, seasonal flavors into boozy winter concoctions. Tenders from Comstock Saloon and Hotsy Totsy, as well as The Bon Vivants will be on hand serving up the inspired libations alongside food samples from Good Food Awards finalists. Bringing his southern flair all the way from Indianola, Mississippi, Chef Chris Grant will join East-Bay chef Trace Williams to deliver an evening of eating and demonstration at San Francisco’s Public House. Cajunshire SF, with their unique fusion of Cajun and Yorkshire cuisines promises more than six courses of gastronomic adventure through the Deep South to the North of England and back to S.F. Calling all home cooks! The San Francisco Cooking School, the Bay Area’s largest program for hands-on cooking classes, will host a public open house at their brand new, state-of-the-art culinary center. With over 75 classes to choose from, chances are, anyone short of an Iron Chef will appreciate at least one of the SFCS’s offerings.
