Thursday: See the Christopher Collins Spring Collection

Looking for a way to kick off the month of April with a dose of local fashion? Tomorrow night, San Francisco designer Christopher Collins is celebrating the arrival of the spring 2010 collection at his eponymous Sutter Street boutique.

Back in December, Collins told us that the theme behind his women’s dresses, pants, skirts and tops for spring ($150-$400) was “effortlessly elegant:”

“You put it on, and it’s a look ready to walk out the door,” Collins said.

Among his fans? None other than San Francisco’s First Lady Jennifer Siebel Newsom, who dons a dress from the collection on the cover of the most recent issue of Bare magazine.

Along with a chance to peruse the spring collection in person, the event offers wine and bubbly, deals on current styles and a few extra perks (we hear there will be hair consultations from a Di Pietro Todd colorist and an esthetician cleaning up party-goers brows).

Spring Forward Fashion Party, 5-9 p.m. on April 1 at Christopher Collins Boutique, 1116 Sutter St., San Francisco. RSVP to Erica (at) christophercollinscollection (dot) com.
