Bartlett Hall Game Day Menu
Bartlett Hall will be opening their doors bright and early (9:30am) on Saturdays and Sundays this fall to accommodate the early NFL and college football games. Order Portuguese-style French toast or lamb and potato hash from the game-day brunch menu (or you could always stick with classic chicken wings) while cheering on the Niners and the Cal Bears at any one of their numerous TVs.

Acquerello Celebrates 25th Anniversary With Vintage Wines
In honor of its silver anniversary, Michelin-starred Acquerello is celebrating with a 1989 (the year the restaurant was "born") commemorative wine dinner. Guests will have the opportunity to sip on 25-year-old vintages and sit down to a delicious 5-course dinner.

Oakland's Haven and Pittsburgh's Cure Join Kitchens
Chef Charlie Parker of Haven in Jack London Square and Chef Justin Severino of Pittsburgh's Cure are joining forces for a special dinner this weekend. The duo first met while cooking together at Manresa and later worked together at chef Justin's butcher shop. The six-course menu includes ingredient-driven dishes and house made charcuterie such as: smoked duck breast, pork belly chop, sweet corn pudding, and oysters. Sounds amazing.

Sour/Bitter Food and Beer Fest in Oakland
A bunch of East Bay restaurants and breweries are getting together this weekend for a sour/bitter fest at Oakland bar, The Trappist. Each restaurant (including: Trappist, Tamarindo, Perdition Smokehouse, Homestead, Miss Ollie’s, and Ramen Shop) is bringing a sour and bitter bite while breweries (such as: Almanac, Sante Adairius, Craftsman, Tahoe Mountain, Rare Barrel, Drakes, MRaz Brewing, and Woodfour) will bring a sour and bitter brew for your mixing and matching pleasure. Each ticket includes an event glass and open tastings of 16 different beers, plus two bites from each restaurant.
