Camera Accessories-Turned Art in Hayes Valley
Joby's bendy, twisty, wrap-able and hang-able tripods are always useful when taking a photo, but as the actual medium for your creation? We'd never considered it before taking a peek at the Joby Inspired pop-up store and gallery going on now in Hayes Valley. The company has paired with designers like Envelope AD and Derek Chen to create art installations using their signature flexible products, and the resulting pieces–including dolls, a boa-like lamp and web-like walls–are on display now through October 10th at 582 Hayes Street.
Should you feel inspired yourself while there, you can also pick up camera accessories in the accompanying pop-up store. Find LOMO cameras, lenses from Lensbaby, sleek camera cases from Acme Made, and of course Joby tripods and stands. And if you need a mode of transportation for those action shots, Vespa will be there too for all your scootering needs. We like the diverse and design-forward mix. You've only got through Saturday before the shop's gone, though, so stop in sometime this week.

Wow, thank you for posting this. That photograph is amazing! I love to see classic products that are created with an artistic twist. If I lived near Hayes Street, I would definitely be picking up some camera accessories for myself. Thanks again!
