You May Now Get Free Condoms From a Vending Machine at SF State

By

Remember the old banana demo? Well, with HPV and other STDs at an all-time high in California, proper condom use is as crucial as ever.

In honor of National STD Awareness Month, LifeStyles has installed its one-of-a-kind vending machine at the Cesar Chavez Student Center at San Francisco State University to to encourage bumping and grinding responsibly on campus. (With 18- to 24-year-olds responsible for over half of all new gonorrhea and chlamydia infections, we think a campus vending machine is a pretty wise idea.)

From now through the end of May, students will be encouraged to take a short Cosmo–style questionnaire on the machine's touchscreen interface. Regardless of their answers, they'll be rewarded not with a soda or bag of chips, but with a sample pack of LifeStyles condoms.
