Wine sales have been dipping as Gen Z and millennials either quit drinking, cut back on alcohol, or choose options a little less wine-y. Cost and accessibility have both been cited amongst reasons for the decreased interest in wine, with wine sales continuing to decrease in 2024 and 2025.

One area of Wine Country is looking to rebound some of those numbers in 2026 with a campaign aimed at making discovering wine more accessible and affordable: Sonoma Sips. This month-long crusade taking place at more than 50 participating wineries, restaurants, and hotels throughout Sonoma County drops the cost of tasting experiences down to just $15 from February 15th through March 15th.

To participate, simply pick a location from the website and either walk in or call ahead for a reservation (most don’t require one)—and don’t forget to mention Sonoma Sips.

We’ve helped you narrow down the extensive options below with this curated list of some of our favorite participants.

Meadowcroft Wines

Meadowcroft Wines has a relaxed tasting room in a gorgeous setting in Cornerstone Sonoma, giving you easy access to other businesses and events. For $15, the label will dole out samples of three award-winning, sustainable wines, with the option to upgrade to a full tasting flight with wines of your choosing for an extra $10. The winery’s buzzy (literally) mascot makes for cute merch purchases and, if you have more time (and money) to spend, you can make a separate appointment to learn to blend your own wines.

St. Francis Winery and Vineyards

Located in Santa Rosa, this picturesque winery is worth $15 just for the view. St. Francis is known for their food and wine experiences, even racking up some best-of-the-best accolades over the years. Their Sonoma Sips specialty is an artisan tasting flight featuring five of the label’s wines, a guided experience that not only introduces you to what’s in your glass, but also gives you a glimpse into the world of winemaking. As an added bonus, the St. Francis estate is 100 percent certified sustainable. If you don’t know quite what that means—staff will be happy to educate you as you sip.

Bartholomew Estate Winery

Set on 375 acres, this historic winery has ties to Sonoma’s earliest vineyards, which celebrated a milestone 200th birthday last year. Many flock to the Bartholomew Estate to enjoy what’s outside of their glass just as much as what is in it, including miles of picturesque hiking trails. For a limited time, the estate’s introductory tasting is $15 and includes two pours—although, it’s important to note that the Sonoma Sips promotion is not offered on Saturdays. Some of the other experiences on property are truly spectacular, with horseback riding excursions, forest immersion tastings, and barrel-to-bottle experiences.

Benziger Family Winery

This sprawling Glen Ellen estate is located just steps from Jack London State Park, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2026. Benziger is highlighting what they do best with a three-wine Sustainable Sips Tasting. Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa

A destination in itself, the luxurious Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is as well known for its convenient location as it is for its high-end spa and Roman bathhouse, with mineral soaking pools, a sauna, cool-down showers, and more. If you’re there for the wine, however, they’re offering a unique opportunity during Sonoma Sips to taste varietals from several surrounding vineyards. Drinks are served at the resort’s 38° North Cocktail Bar and Lounge and are just $15 each with the purchase of an entrée.

Pomme Cider Shop & Tap Room

Our only non-wine offering on this list—a pairing of cider and tinned fish—is a bit outside the box but intriguing nonetheless. At Pomme you can try a lineup of locally grown ciders from small-batch Sonoma County producers. Known as Sonoma’s only cider bar and bottle shop, their collection also includes choices from the East Coast, France, Australia, and more. If you want a bite in addition to the tinned fish that comes with your tasting, Pomme also serves hot dogs.
