New & Next Bay Area Pre-SXSW Party at Monarch
On March 6th, 7x7 was proud to partner with Up In Arms for a packed live music showcase at the Monarch in San Francisco's SoMa District. It was all part of New & Next, a new monthly music happy hour event created by Up In Arms to showcase local up and coming talent.
Guests raved to insane live sets headlined by The Tambo Rays, who brought an unbeatable indie pop energy to the stage. The band, consisting of all multi-instrumentalists Brian DaMert, Sara DaMert, Greg Sellin and Bob Jakobs, had just as much fun as the audience as they heated up the stage and switched instruments with nearly every song.
Attendees also grooved to DJ Salty and enjoyed a stellar unannounced set by local rock sensation, the Soft White Sixties. With a heavy vintage R&B infused sound, the Soft White Sixties brought some honey sweet soul to the second hour of the event.
The show gave revelers a taste of the music to come at the upcoming South By Southwest Festival—while enjoying specials on Sapporo beer and specialty cocktails made with Karlsson's vodka.
The night launched a monthly music experience from Up In Arms, presenting the hottest up-and-coming talent in a happy hour environment.
