SF-Made Heated Furniture to Warm Your Tush in the Bay Area Cold

When Aaron Jones, 32, moved to the city from Tucson two-plus years ago, he immediately noticed a San Francisco phenomenon—businesses notoriously leave their doors open despite the Bay Area cold.

That chilling experience led the Glen Park resident to create the Helios heated lounge—a four-seat bench with radiant heat (thanks to embedded cables controlled by a thermostat-like sensor) that plugs in to, he says, “efficiently warm you to your core.” Made of cast stone polished to a well-worn patina, the Eames-style lounge is the first product in Galanter & Jones’forthcoming line of heated outdoor furniture. Test out this
sleek outdoor piece at Flora Grubb Gardens before placing
your custom order.
