Really?! Is there any significant difference in any of them? Is there any reason the photographer/writer couldn't venture further than Four Barrel? I mean....ick!! Doesn't San Francisco and men's fashion extend beyond this block of Valencia Street? This is yet another example of provincialism of this city and the way to fit in is to dress like everyone else.

oh hey, Ryan

this poll is under represented in so many levels. san francisco has districts other than the mission. these are all hipsters! wth. (re-title this to: which guy from the mission do you like the best?)

The street style section of 7x7 continues to infuriate me because of articles like this. I completely agree with the majority of comments thus far, it appears that the person writing this article polled their circle of friends for examples of fashion in SF, rather than attempting to represent the diverse styles that are seen in SF on a daily basis.

And I hate to go there, but did anyone notice the limited demographic represented here? According to 7x7, only white & asian guys are living in SF.

cookie cutter menswear.

Next time you should scout at the Ferry Bldg.

My eternally chic Nonnie always said that you should wear your clothes, and not the other way around.

That may sound ridiculously obvious, but judging from many of these photos, and some so-called fashionistas/sartorialists, it seems they've never run across the idea that fashion is something that should accentuate your own physical presence and serve your comfort...rather than run the show itself.

The best streetstyle? Unmanufactured self-possessed confidence and a winning smile open to the world.

With that impish smile, Ryan would get a pert grin and hello on the street in passing any day of the week. ;)

Another fashion article debacle. Obviously the "redesign" has not improved the quality of this section.

I hate to dis these fellas, but I have to agree with the other commenters - they're pretty much all the same and nothing special. :(

I agree, this is a terribly poor selection of people to claim as personifying San Francisco style, and this magazine should know better! If you continue to feature these schlumpy boys as rocking "our city's style," you'll only get us closer to America's #1 worst dressed city.
I could hop on a muni bus and make 21 better selections than this anyday.

This must be a joke, its almost like an episode of Portlandia! Every guy here has the same slight variation of Mission hipster style!

Wow, how diverse of you 7x7. All of them are from the same hipster coffee shop in the Mission. You've got to be joking with some of them - they look like they just rolled out of bed. And not a Versace bed.

These guys are all the least original looking people in town.

Is this supposed to be a joke? Half these guys are dressed so poorly that I'd feel guilty for not tossing them a quarter when I passed them on the street.

"Marching to a different drummer" does not equate with fashion sense; in fact it often equates to a lack of it.
