If off-the-rack decor is your speed, then you’ve come to the wrong place. Maloos Anvarian—who grew up in Azerbaijan and Tehran and studied in Paris—takes inspiration from classic furnishings and then adds her unusual twist. “This is not your grandmother’s antique,” says the Clarendon Heights designer of this French Animo Camo chair, which is wrapped from top to toe in leopard print, thanks to a durable vinyl-latex designed on a computer and then produced on an industrial printer. Anvarian says the chair can “take the edge off a super-modern space or add edge to a more traditional room.” Look for her locally made custom furniture and decor at her studio in the
SF Design Center.
