One of the biggest dates for brides all around the Bay Area (aside from the Big Day, of course!) is the San Francisco Wedding Fair, which takes place on January 20, 2013 at the glitzy Four Seasons Hotel. It's a smorgasbord of top-notch wedding planning resources–a place where photographers, bakers, wedding venues, caterers, jewelry companies and many more gather to woo you into hiring them for your ultimate dream wedding.

You can buy tickets to the big event here, but we can also get you and your best friends in for free! We're unveiling an open call for submissions for our SF Wedding Fair Contest, starting today. We want to know how you got engaged–send us cute stories (up to 400 words) and pictures to melikey@7x7.com by January 3rd, 2013 (with the subject line "Engagement Story"), and we'll choose our top three favorites to be voted on on our Facebook page, starting January 7th.

Voter Prize:
Two nights* in a two bedroom cottage at the Cottages on River Road, a darling bed and breakfast in the town of Guerneville in the heart of the Russian River Valley. The stay will include a welcome bottle of wine from a Sonoma County winery and a spa treatment at the hotel's spa. A few minutes from The Cottages, guests will find wine tasting at some of Sonoma's most renowned wineries, canoeing on the Russian River, zip lining in the Redwoods, and hiking in Armstrong Redwood Reserve. At night, guests can gather each night around the hotel's camp fire and enjoy roasting  marshmallows and making s'mores!
