SF's historic Colombo Building (1 Columbus Ave), a 103-year-old Beaux-Arts beauty, dodged the wrecking ball twice before it was scooped up by a preservationist who rehabbed its storefronts with sylish occupants: Rumor has it that Four Barrel Coffee is drawing up plans to transform a former auto showroom into their third locale. Original Timber Co. creates reclaimed wood furnishings for clients like Saison. Surfboards and vintage motorcycles bedeck the modern haberdashy Iron & Resin, while old-school vibe at Blades & Co. Barber Spaechoes the century-old interiors.
