We’re betting there will be more stylish women per square foot in and around Fort Mason this week than any other location in town. The reason: the much-anticipated Decadestwo Pop-Up Shop, which descends on the City with a private preview hosted by Vanessa Getty and Splendora.com founder Gina Pell on Thursday night before opening to the public on Friday.
Why all the fuss? In collaboration with private online sale site HauteLook, the L.A.-based retailer is bringing to town for the first time its famously well-curated collection of high-end designer label consignment clothing and accessories culled from the closets of celebs, Hollywood stylists and other fashionable folks that include the likes of Julianne Moore, Rachel Zoe and Sarah Jessica Parker.
Prices for the high-style secondhand gear from labels such as Prada, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy and Chanel run as much as 80 percent off retail. Even with the discount, don’t go expecting bargain basement prices, but rather a chance to scoop up a few treasures for far less than you’d pay were you to order them straight off the runway. On Saturday, a special shoe sale means designer footwear priced at $150 a pair.
Can’t wait until the weekend? Win free passes to the Decadestwo invite-only VIP party on Thursday night at the historic Fort Mason firehouse building by emailing your full name to events@7x7.com (subject line: 7x7 Decadestwo) by 5pm on Wednesday, June 16. Five randomly selected entries will be chosen, and will be contacted by email. Winners names "plus one" will be held at the check-in table at the venue.
