In a move that underscores the rich cultural core of the Yerba Buena neighborhood, “artful” bike racks were installed December 14 outside Metreon. The cast-iron racks are spare but stylish, made from reclaimed metal and sporting a subtle tire tread pattern.
San Francisco’s CMG Landscape Architecture designed two versions of the rack, with different tread patterns. Over the next few months, 30 of each will be installed in the neighborhood, so keep an eye out for the hot new spots where you can lock your bike.
