Family Day at The Yard

Can't afford to take the whole family out to the ballgame this Saturday? Take them to The Yard instead for a Giants vs Marlins pre-game party for kids and kids at heart. Family Day starts at 1pm on Saturday and features wholesome activities such as Corn Hole and Twister. Bring your own T-shirts and get them custom screen-printed with a San Franpsycho design inspired by San Francisco baseball. Of course, there will be burgers, hot dogs, and crepes for purchase, along with Orange Splash Lager, a collaboration beer from Anchor Steam and the SF Giants. Stick around for the game afterwards, which will be broadcast on two big screens. Dogs and children welcome.  //  3rd Street & Terry A Francois Blvd. (Mission Bay), theyardsf.com

Blackbird's able bartenders will be on hand to accentuate your shopping experience with beer, wine and craft cocktails, both on tap and custom-made to order.  //  2124 Market St. (Castro), blackbirdbar.com

Seeds Cider Whiskey and try specially paired food selections from Slow Hand BBQ and the Whole Foods Market Truck. PABU Takeover at Turnkey at Cantina

The Union Square bar launched as a temporary pop-up is hosting a pop-up cocktail event on Monday, starting at 8pm. Kevin Diedrich's Turnkey at Cantina will welcome the bar team from PABU to shake up cocktails to benefit the RED Campaign, working to fight against AIDS. Specialty cocktails on the menu include "Sling with Me," made with Singani 63, lime, lemongrass, egg white, and angostura. Drinking patrons will be treated to free bites from PABU, until they run out. Sake Tasting + Brewing Secrets at Ozumo

Sake's historic brewing process is not well-known in these parts, but Ozumo San Francisco is aiming to change that. The Japanese restaurant will host Kotsuhiko Miyasaka, producer of the rare Masumi "Arabashiri" sake, next Wednesday, April 27, from 6pm to 8pm for a sake tasting session and sake brewing lesson. The event is timed to the peak condition of the "Arabashiri" sake, which was bottled young and released early for a clean taste and refreshing finish. Guests will learn about the highly-coveted brewing process while sampling generous pours of 5+ premium sakes and paired appetizers from Ozumo's Chef de Cuisines. Tickets are available online for $35 per person, or at the door for $40.  //  161 Steuart St., (FiDi); ozumosanfrancisco.com
