What better way to waste away your summer day than taking a stroll in San Francisco’s bustling neighborhoods and stumbling upon a great street festival in Noe Valley? Or scoping out some fabulous art pieces in downtown’s Union Square? We've rounded up five thrilling can't-miss San Francisco events for the month of August!
Outside Lands
Sure, this is one of the summer's most anticipated events thanks to the killer music line-up. But for those who are as passionate about the festival as they are about going green, you won't want to miss Ecolands, a special attraction featuring Urban Gardening Workshops in addition to a wide number of eco-friendly initiatives. August 10-13; $225 for 3-day pass, $95 for a 1-day pass; Golden Gate Park, SF
The ART of Graffiti 1.0 Class
Street art is huge within the San Francisco area and is often celebrated rather than frowned upon in this great city. Thanks to the people over at 1AM SF Gallery, you can get a tutorial on creating stunning graffiti with the help of one of their artists. In a gallery that extols urban and street art, getting a lesson from one of these guys should be quite rewarding. First Amendment Gallery; August 11, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.; $55 per person; 1000 Howard Street, SF
