Freda Salvador steps into sustainability with new zero-waste shoe collection + more local style news

Leftovers have never looked more delicious thanks to Freda Salvador's new zero-waste shoe collection, created with last season's leathers.

Plus, Burke Williams offers sweet spa packages for Valentine's Day and a pair of local artists are serving up a jewelry set inspired by Mount Tamalpais.

Prepare to fall hard for fresh styles from cool-girl stalwart Freda Salvador. The local footwear brand began the year with a commitment to reinvention and zero waste and, boy, are they delivering. The limited-edition ReNew collection, crafted with luxe leftover leathers from previous seasons, transforms something old into something new (and gorgeous) again. The sharply edited line includes some of FS's most-loved styles: the Winona lug mary jane ($375, in black and tan embossed croc), Tash d'Orsay moccasin ($375, in light blue embossed croc) and Light Halo loafer ($425, in tan embossed croc). Working with materials you have on hand, you say? Think we can all work this MO into our lives…after we buy the shoes, of course.

We love a good Bay Area collab, and when ceramicist Erin Hupp and jewelry designer Amanda Hunt got together, the result melted our hearts. Their collaboration yielded the exclusive two-piece Mount Tam set ($825): a 14-karat gold ring with an ethically sourced diamond and an organically shaped dish sporting a lunar glow, both inspired by the stunning Marin icon for which they're named. No doubt, the set makes one precious gift for special sweeties. And, yes, that includes you…because flowers aren't the only thing you can buy yourself (right, Miley?).

Gifting a massage or facial at a luxury spa sure sounds like a love-ly plan. Burke Williams, located in Westfield SF Centre, is pleased to be part of all the February 14th festivities by serving up a trio of specially priced gift packages that include various signature treatments. Whether you give the Healing Touch ($200), Pure Embrace ($325) or Hopelessly Devoted ($500), you'll most certainly be bombarded with a round of thank-you hugs and kisses from the lucky (and relaxed) recipient. Chocolates, schmocolates.
