Get Thee to Wanderlust

By

Don't write this off as a hokey hippie retreat—last year's inaugural Wanderlust Music and Yoga Festival was hands-down the coolest summer music experience in Northern California. Starting today, you can downward dog to your heart's content, learn firsthand what acroyoga is all about and get a grand dose of music in the great outdoors.

Tickets are going fast and yoga classes are almost entirely full, so you better act fast. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday Pilgrim tickets are still for sale and will run you $90-$140 for one day of three classes, plus access to all music that day. If you're lucky, you can snag a session with master yogis Shiva Rea, Seane Corn and Janet Stone. And if you've never experienced Chris Ray's self massage with balls class, get yourself on the waitlist now.

If you prefer to skip the poses and postures, Daytripper music tickets are still available (only $29.50!). Sure, Outside Lands and Treasure Island are great for hot music, but what could top escaping the city's summer blues for a sunny Tahoe weekend? This year, Moby, Bassnectar and Brazilian Girls headline. Other bands we're excited about: the danceable Pretty Lights, L.A.-based Orgone, local global agit-pop group Rupa & The April Fishes, Oakland-based Beats Antique and the brain-fazing electro beats of Ana Sia.

If all that's not enough to convince you, there are also food and beer kiosks, wine tasting, acupuncture, massage, aromatherapy, retail tents and more. Check it out. Thursday, 7/29 - Sunday, 8/1; Squaw Valley, CA
