February is going to be a big month for the Bay Area. Once the NFL and Super Bowl fans have gone home, San Francisco General Hospital Foundation steps up to the plate to host an iconic only-in-SF event – the annual Hearts After Dark party on the field at AT&T Park.
On Thursday, February 18, I’ll be joining the ultimate dance band, Pop Rocks, on stage and look forward to helping everyone dance the night away on center field all while raising funds for Zuckerberg San Francisco General.
Hearts After Dark is one of the most unique fundraising events in the Bay Area. With 1,000 big-hearted young professionals celebrating the historic institution under the backdrop of AT&T Park, surrounded by the hearts sculptures that are seen throughout the City.
Touring with Sugar Ray has given me the opportunity to visit hundreds of cities throughout the world and San Francisco has always been one of my favorites. I’m thrilled to help raise awareness and funds for an organization that serves this diverse community. Not only is Zuckerberg San Francisco General the City’s only trauma center, but it also serves as a ‘safety net’ for those who might not be able to afford care.
As a father of two 5 year-old twins, I know how important it is to provide future generations with access to quality health care. Zuckerberg San Francisco General cares for 34,000 children per year, more than any other hospital in San Francisco and is the city’s largest primary care facility, serving San Franciscans of all ages with four on-site outpatient clinics.
Since it was founded in 1992, the SF General Hospital Foundation has raised more than $220 million, contributing to hundreds of innovative programs and initiatives at the hospital, as well as funding for the equipment, furniture and fixtures of the new acute care and trauma center.
I am honored to be a part of this year’s Hearts After Dark and I hope you’ll join me in supporting San Francisco General Hospital Foundation on Thursday, February 18. Please click here and use the code MarkMcGrath16 to receive $15 off your ticket.
