In town for a gig at the Great American Music Hall, Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party swung by the 7x7 office (with supporting act Mink in tow) and treated the staff to a couple of choice tunes. Though the song on everyone’s unspoken request list was invariably “Jane Says,” the hybrid band did bring the workday to a much-appreciated halt with a tambourine-shaking sing-along acoustic rendition of “We’ll Make Great Pets” (by Farrell’s other other band Porno for Pyros).
The music didn’t stop there, however: The merry music-makers left the office singing the Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil” and continued to play as they made their way down the street to Virgin Megastore, where Farrell tried on one shopper’s hat for size (and pretended to steal another’s Frappuccino) before rewarding lucky bystanders with PFP’s “Tahitian Moon” and Jane’s Addiction fave “Been Caught Stealing.”
