From heatstroke-inducing Dory onesies to torso-sized Cards Against Humanity, the costumes at this year's Bay to Breakers spanned the gambit of pop-culture references.
On Sunday, craft-store-embellished regalia filled the streets of San Francisco, as Bay to Breakers runners, confident in their glue-gun marksmanship, ran—or hastily walked—from the outstretches of the Financial District to the sandy shores of Ocean Beach.
Along the way, bystanders and race participants alike shared in the many conversational splendors afforded by the creative couture on display. Like the cementing, clear-drying adhesives holding together more than a few haphazard seams, friendships were bonded.
