As bassist for San Rafael's beloved Terrapin Family Band, Brian Rashap saw no other place to get married than in the pier-side park just outside Terrapin Crossroads. The story is cuteness to our ears.
Before arriving at Terrapin Crossroads—the restaurant and live music venue owned by Grateful Dead founding member Phil Lesh, where Terrapin Family performs every week as the house band—Rashap spent the morning getting ready with his two sons at Cavallo Point in Sausalito, with views to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
Meanwhile, his bride to be, Karen McCloskey, soothed her nerves during a calm sail on a gorgeous yacht with her flower girls, making a dramatic entrance that spurred laughters and cheers from guests.
Hosted in the pocket park behind the restaurant, the celebration had all the vibes of a picturesque backyard summer wedding: Karen and Brian exchanged vows beneath a pergola as guests looked on from beneath the palms. Family tunes were at the center of the ceremony, of course—the Terrapin Family Band played at the reception.
