So, what do you get when you mix chocolate, ice, and science together? Bingo! A thrilling weekend in the East Bay. Strip off your work/school attire and plunge into June with this course of events.

Chocolate & Chalk Arts Festival Berkeley's Gourmet Ghetto along North Shattuck Avenue is a flavorful favorite for true foodies. The area hosts its 17th Annual Chocolate & Chalk Arts Festival, giving artists of all levels the chance to put their skills on public display by designing their own creative chalk drawings. Between viewing art, feast your eyes (and mouth) on several chocolate delicacies featured in the extravaganza, including chocolate truffles, brownies, gelato, ricotta pizza, even Caribbean chocolate soup. In addition, there'll be live music, pony rides, face-painting, and more.

Ice Dreams The Oakland Ice Center announces Ice Dreams, an Olympic Ice Show showcasing the matchless talent of top-rate competitors in the upcoming 2014 Olympics. Three time US National Champ Johnny Weir and current US National Champ Max Aaron are among the exceptional ice skaters who will be performing their magic.

Grand Re-Opening of the Gallery of Natural Sciences There's clearly no better way to enjoy free admission at the Oakland Museum of California on the first Sunday of the month. The new Gallery of Natural Sciences has revamped its assets and offers snippets of the Golden State's rich biodiversity. Explore all it has to offer during the culmination of this three-day celebration. Animal costume contests, food trucks, live music, and various family-oriented activities will be on site.
