Bike loving music fans, you don’t have to wait until the next Hardly Strictly Bluegrass to pedal your way to some sweet San Francisco tunes. Just head down Valencia Street tonight to 780 Café for a fun night of music with fellow bike-lovers.
Bike-touring folk singer Heather Normandale, singer-songwriter Brad Wolfe and the Burnt Ends West Blues Collective will be strumming and singing away as part of the second annual Tunes4Tubes party, an event that raises money to support the work of the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.
If the music and nonprofit cause aren’t enough to get you there, the beer specials might be. Two for $5 Lagunitas are probably the best deal in town. Plus, there’s an inordinate number of raffle prizes, so your chances of scoring some sweet bike gear, massages, or bike art are pretty high.
Grab your trusty steed and point it toward Valencia. And when you pedal away on the green wave (the lights are timed at bike speed now), you can feel good knowing that your night will mean more green waves, bike lanes, and bike parking. Ride on!
