Planning your next wine tasting trip to Napa? Wine Country Navigator—a new online service that provides digital guided tours of local wineries—is the perfect place to go for new recommendations.
“I was constantly making recommendations for friends visiting Wine Country, so I decided to start this project,” says founder Bruce A Skrien. The site offers wine tasting trips categorized by region (including Santa Barbara and Paso Robles), theme (architecture, art, small production, etc.), appellation (select from a variety of trails), or grape varietal (dessert wines FTW) in heavy-hitter towns Napa and Sonoma, but also smaller gems like Los Carneros, Anderson Valley, and Lake County. Each tailor-made day trip also comes with route suggestions and restaurant recommendations along the way.
Skrien says, “Unlike many who choose to visit wineries at random, I created a menu that is self guided and designed to completed as a whole. My formula: Aesthetics + Taste + Discovery.”
