Where to Watch 4th of July Fireworks in Lake Tahoe

Nothing shouts 4th of July more than a day at the beach followed by a spectacular evening fireworks display over the water. Up in Tahoe, they've got that Independence Day tradition covered quite nicely.

The folks in Kings Beach will actually get a head start on the holiday pyrotechnics when the town, in its effort to "give the people more than one night of fireworks," presents its annual aerial display above the main beach at dusk on July 3, a tradition that goes back more than 30 years.

A few miles to the east, Incline Village will highlight its week-long Red, White and Tahoe Blue festival with its modestly titled "Best Fireworks in the Country" display  above Incline Beach on July 4 between 9:30-10 p.m.

Down in South Lake Tahoe, the annual fireworks show will light up the skies above Regan Beach, El Dorado Beach and Nevada Beach, beginning at 9:45 p.m. on July 4. A synchronized musical broadcast can be heard on KOWL (AM 1490) or KRLT (FM 93.9).

Commons Beach in Tahoe City will be a great viewing spot for the town's annual fireworks show, which will begin at 9:30 p.m. on the 4th.

And West End Beach, on the west end of Donner Lake, is the site of Truckee's annual pyrotechnics display, which will kick off at 9:30 p.m.
