Wine, Women and Shoes Kicks Up Its Heels in Napa This Summer

Imagine spending a gorgeous afternoon sipping delightful wines, savoring delectable bites, and shopping to your heart’s content – all while being charmed by some of the most beloved men in the Napa Valley. What makes this afternoon even more sensational? The cause.

This July, the Napa Valley will host a very special Wine Women & Shoes (WWS) event to benefit Napa Emergency Women’s Services (NEWS). WWS Napa Valley will take place at the stunning Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena on Saturday, July 28th from 1:00pm - 5:00pm.

With open hearts (and wallets), guests will sip, savor, and shop to support NEWS, an organization that provides a nurturing refuge for women and children suffering from domestic violence and/or sexual assault, and is a catalyst for change through prevention, intervention, and advocacy. Established in 1981, NEWS has proudly provided these critical services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to an average of 1,200 women and children each year.

“NEWS is one of the most positive forces in our community,” states Jennie Thayer, the Event Co-Chair for WWS Napa Valley. “I am proud to announce that 100% of ticket and auction proceeds, and 20% of vendor sales from this event will go directly to NEWS.”

As they arrive at Charles Krug’s magnificent Carriage House, guests will be greeted by one of our charming Shoe Guys who will also be showcasing this season’s must-haves on silver platters.

The first two hours will feature a world-class wine tasting complemented by a cornucopia of signature bites and a shopping Marketplace filled with shoes, clothes, jewelry, and other fine accessories.

At 3pm, guests will bid on irresistible lots in the Live Auction. Following the auction, guests will be enchanted by a Fashion Show like no other, featuring the gorgeous clothing and stylings of Helen Lyall and make-up by Juice Beauty. Guests will cheer on some of our local models, including Ryan and Nicole Hill, David James, Dalia Ceja, and Lisa Peju.

Throughout the event, guests can purchase one of only 200 tickets available for their chance to win the lavish Keys to the Closet Raffle valued at over $10,000, as well as participate in our not-to-miss silent auction.

“If you attend one event this year, WWS Napa Valley is it!” claims Thayer. A limited number of VIP and general admission tickets are still available. VIP guests will enjoy unique perks, such as stage-side table seating for the Fashion Show and early bidding opportunities.
