Workwear Brand Argent Enters the Tech World with New Pop-up + Incubator

By

Women's workwear brand Argent is doing much more than making sure you look good at the office. The SF-based brand just announced a new two-month start-up incubator at their pop-up at WeWork in SoMa.

Argent aims to bring a cool factor to 9-to-5 attire. Their debut collection, launched earlier this year, includes a lineup of three blazer styles, three trouser styles, a jumpsuit, two dresses, and four tops—all easily mixed and matched— with savvy touches, from iPhone pockets to ID badge loops. In September, the online shop joined forces with co-working start-up WeWork to launch a new pop-up retail shop inside their SoMa location in the hopes of reaching female freelancers, entrepreneurs, and start-up employees who need chic workwear in their closets.

Now, as part of their new pop-up, Argent is also rolling out .\ccelerator, a two-month incubator for bold new start-ups focused on inclusion. Argent will be accepting up to six local founders for the incubator, and provide them with free co-working space, executive mentoring sessions, collaboration opportunities, and company swag all within the WeWork space.

"Experience is at the heart of our brand ethos. This is a great opportunity for us to experiment with blurring the lines of traditional retail by offering something that we so deeply believe in. We are excited to continue enhancing the interaction between Argent and our community," said Eleanor Turner, co-founder and chief creative officer of Argent.

To apply, Instagram a photo and a two-sentence pitch using the hashtag #argentaccelerator and tag @argent_nicework. Applications will be accepted until October 28th, winners will be announced on October 31st.
