Longtime collaborators Yo-Yo Ma and Kathryn Stott reunite, April 2

By

Cellist Yo-Yo Ma’s multifaceted career is testament to his enduring belief in culture’s power to generate trust and understanding.

He is joined by longtime collaborator Kathryn Stott, who is internationally recognized as one of Britain’s most versatile and imaginative pianists and has announced that 2024 will be her final year on the public stage. This may be your last chance to see Stott in San Francisco.

The program presents a spectrum of music across the ages, beginning with Gabriel Fauré's Berceuse, Opus 16 and winding its way through Antonín Dvořák and Nadia Boulanger to Shostakovich's Cello Sonata in D minor, Opus 40.

// 7:30pm Tuesday, April 2 at Davies Symphony Hall, 201 Van Ness Ave. (Civic Center); tickets are available at sfsymphony.org.
